IELTS is a standardized test to get admissions into colleges and universities in many countries. Especially in UAE, it is a basic requirement for each student to appear in the IELTS test while in grade 11 and 12.
Modules
There are two type of IELTS modules
- Academic Module: IELTS Academic test training is intended for those who want to enroll in colleges or universities for higher education.
- General Training Module: IELTS General test training is intended for those planning to gain work experience and or immigration purposes.
The IELTS test comprises four distinct sections:
Listening: This section spans 30 minutes and encompasses four sections, featuring various audio recordings. Candidates are required to answer 40 questions based on the information presented.
Reading: Candidates are given 60 minutes to complete the reading section, which includes three passages. In this part, individuals must answer 40 questions that evaluate their reading comprehension skills.
Writing: The writing section lasts for 60 minutes and comprises two tasks. Task 1 spans 20 minutes and involves interpreting and summarizing visual information, such as graphs or charts. Task 2 lasts for 40 minutes and requires candidates to compose an essay on a given topic.
Speaking: The speaking section is a face-to-face interview lasting approximately 11 to 14 minutes. It evaluates a candidate’s spoken English skills through a conversation with an examiner, covering various topics, including personal experiences and opinions.
